The Journey Begins

Welcome to the kraftytraveller!

Of all the travel blog sites where you could have landed, you have chosen to perch here…and I thank you! There are a lot of sites that focus on overseas and other long distance travel, (and we will visit some of those places here too from time to time!), but our main focus will be on local travel. Yes, LOCAL, with a capital ‘L’, as in Canadian Locales. While it’s absolutely awesome and enlightening to be able to travel around the world, let’s face it…these days some world issues can have us raising our eyebrows and shaking our heads; we can feel so uncertain.

There is absolutely no better time to take the opportunity to explore our own gorgeous country from hamlets to small towns to large cities and all the truly fascinating sights and sounds they have to offer throughout our seasons of varied weather! If you’ve been in Canada for any length of time, you have likely heard the adage “If you don’t like the weather now…wait 5 minutes!”

Of course, if you are visiting our great Canadian land, WELCOME! We hope to create a collection of articles that will be helpful to anyone who is planning to trek the trails, resident to visitor, from day trips to full on holidays, family or solo as well as some savvy hints and tips. So visit us often! We can’t wait to travel with you.

The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at least to set foot on one’s own country as a foreign land — G.K. Chesterton
